Objectives

Our work is with the Jamaica District Conference of The Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas and other congregations as God leads. Our Objective is to come along side the local church, providing training opportunities for Clergy and Laity alike as they seek to not only survive but thrive as a living body of Christ.

Training

These include organizing and sponsoring training seminars for Class Leaders, members, preachers and ministers to better prepare them for an evangelistic thrust; organizing and sponsoring empowerment sessions for Lay Pastors, bringing teams of volunteer evangelists who will go into circuits for a weekend and assist the local church in meeting its neighbors and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The Jamaica Methodist Mission Fund

For many congregations across Jamaica, the fragile economy has left them without adequate clergy leadership. We hope to help fund the Jamaica Methodist Mission Fund – with the goal of increasing the funds available for the local church’s Pastoral Support. Currently, there are many congregations either struggling to pay the pastor or do not have one in their community due to the lack of funding. This fund will also provide for materials, etc. for the Training Events that we will bring to the island.
